Important #2: quand vous donnez votre avis sur une commande il est TRES IMPORTANT de faire des photos macros avec une indication de l'échelle ! voici un bon exemple (cliquez ici) ... faire aussi des photos de la reliure si possible ! cela aide BEAUCOUP les lecteurs à se forger une idée de la qualité respective de chaque prestataire, c'est largement mieux qu'un simple texte

Depuis 2004, de nombreuses sociétés proposent de rassembler vos photos sous forme de livre. Ce topic est destiné à vous synthétiser la situation. La mise à jour ce ce post inclu les opinions courament partagées ici.

Le spam n'est bien sûr pas toléré, regardvirtuel.com et monalbumphoto.fr se sont déjà fait prendre en flagrant déli, honte sur eux.
 
Le dialogue constructif avec les fournisseurs est par contre le bienvenu, actuellement ... y'a pas grand chose
 
Si vous avez testé une offre, surtout n'hésitez pas à en faire une présentation complète ici, avec force photos pour appuyer vos commentaires. C'est ce qu'il y a de plus utile pour comparer. Un grand merci à tout ceux qui mettent leurs commentaires (surtout photos à l'appui) !

Les différents éléments importants perçus ici :
 
 
La qualité des tirages : on est malheureusement assez loin des tirages photo classiques, c'est du à la technologie employée (Regardvirtuel.com propose une méthode différente qui semble être très satisfaisante). Le papier est épais, l'impression recto verso.  
 
Les problèmes rencontrés sont le manque de définition, le non respect du rendu des couleurs, les retouches automatiques sauvages, les dégradés mal traités, la gestion de profil de couleur inexistante, le tramage, les noirs profonds mal rendu, des dominates de couleur (ex du bleu sur une photo n&b) ...
 
D'une manière générale la qualité est satisfaisante pour le grand public, mais pour l'oeil amateur qui retouche sous photoshop/gimp le grall est encore loin. Cela ne doit pas effrayer : pour ceux qui ne sont pas des maniaques comme nous ça reste un très beau produit. D'une manière générale la qualité est variable, alors attention !
 
Aujourd'hui, un seul prestatire sort vraiment du lot : http://www.regardvirtuel.com/ (noté "RV" par la suite), qui a eu beaucoup d'impression mitigées au début, mais qui semble aujourd'hui avoir une qualité intéressante.
 
 
La présentation du livre : qualité de la couverture, personalisation de la couverture (texte seul, image insérée, image pleine page, recto ET verso, tranche), solidité de la reliure, liberté dans la mise en page, possibilité de faire de la pleine page (sans bords), possibilité de faire une double page, taille disponible (A4 en général, le 45x30 cm est rare, petits format et panoramiques sont communs) ... Voici les points importants.
 
Les prestataires ayant des différences importantes de produit, vous devrez choisir en fonction de vos priorités, et pas seulement de la qualité du tirage des photos ...
 
Par exemple, chez RV, il n'y a qu'un format de livre, la couverture ne peut comporter qu'une photo 9x9 cm, et si vous voulez des pleines pages vous ne pouvez plus utiliser le logiciel maison. Je vous ait prévenu la perfection on la cherche encore !
 
 
Le prix : hé oui, après tout c'est le nerf de la guerre ! L'offre est assez simple : prix en fonction du format, du nombre de page, et enfin des frais de port. Compter d'une quarantaine d'euros pour commencer (A4 avec une quinzaine de pages) et une centaine d'euros (A3 avec 60 pages).
 
Les prestations étant différentes, et la concurence naissante, les prix sont variables : comparez !
 
 
Le service, c'est le dernier point et il diffère la encore beaucoup. Ergonomie du site web, qualité du progiciel maison pour la mise en page (ergonomique, complet, online/offline), délais de livraison, remboursement pour les litiges ...  
 
Tous ces détails peuvent faciliter ou compliquer la vie. Un bon logiciel maison, agréable à utiliser, libéral pour la mise en page, et offline pour travailler tranquillement est un véritable bonus.
