Benefits of Classified 760 over R2E
1. Ability to run my Core i7 920 at a higher LinX stable BCLK setting of 215 vs 205.
2. Vcore needed to run LinX stable CPU speed at about 4.1GHz decreased from 1.368v on the R2E to 1.325v on the Classified.
3. Only one software utility (E-Leet Tune) needed for tuning/monitoring voltages, bus speeds and temperatures in Windows. (Asus uses different softwares to do monitoring and tuning, which leads to more softwares running in the background)
4. Ability to disable my 2nd GTX280 using the disable PCIe lane function to save power when I am not using my system for gaming purposes.
5. Decreased temperature of both GTX280 GPUs as I am able to space them 2 expansion slots apart and do not need to insert the X-Fi PCIe soundcard in between them.
6. Ability to display CPU, system and vref
Benefits of R2E over Classified V
1. Ability to monitor POST Initialisation sequences, time and temperature on my desktop using the LCD Poster that is placed on my desktop.
2. Ability to flash and choose 2 different version of BIOS to boot with. Easy for users to do overclocking performance comparison on new BIOSes.
3. Able to monitor all voltage and temperature values that can be found in the BIOS using Asus PC Probe II utility. (The only temperatures that can be monitored in EVGA's E-Leet Tune are, Core,CPU,VREG and System.)
4. More 3-pin fan headers (total of 7 excluding cpu fan header) and they are nicely placed around the board. (Classified V only has 4)
5. Marvell GbE LAN (Better networking performance?).
